Public Opinion Research
Stakeholder Research

We provide online, telephone, and face-to-face research of the highest quality. We also conduct polling and quantitative research internationally.

For UK online research we use a panel of more than 350,000 GB consumers, with access to 2 million-plus consumers worldwide. This means we can find hard-to-reach audiences quickly and cost-effectively. For telephone and face-to-face research we can offer CATI and CAPI facilities of the highest standard.

Through our twice-weekly telephone omnibus and weekly online omnibus we can conduct polling and research quickly, reliably and at a cost to suit any budget.

We can research almost any stakeholder audience. And to enable us to offer the very best service possible, we have created a unique set of research tools comprising omnibus (or multi-client) surveys of legislators spanning the European Parliament, House of Commons, House of Lords, Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly, Northern Ireland Assembly and local government in England & Wales.

We’ve designed these tools to help answer the questions our clients need answering, such as:

• How is our reputation changing?

• Are our strategic communications objectives the right ones?

• How effectively are we implementing our communications programmes?

• Have stakeholders understood our campaign messages?

• How will stakeholders respond to wider public policy development?

• Are we more effective than our competitors at communicating our messages and managing our reputation?

Europoll™

The ComRes Europoll™ panel is quite unique – we have the only panel of MEPs in existence, comprising more than 150 Members of the European Parliament.

Results are analysed by party group, European region, age and gender.

ComRes MP Panel

ComRes has the largest research panel of Westminster MPs ever created. The panel is surveyed up to six times a year and we guarantee a minimum sample of 150 MPs per wave.

Results are analysed by party, region, length of service, marginality, age and gender, giving you the most information possible from the research.

ComRes Peers Panel

ComRes also has the largest panel of Peers comprising more than 200 members of the House of Lords and the panel is surveyed twice a year. We guarantee a minimum sample size of 100 Peers per wave.

Devolved Assemblies

ComRes maintains parliamentary panels in all the devolved assemblies:

- MSPs in Scotland

- AMs in Wales

- MLAs in Northern Ireland (in cooperation with Stratagem in Belfast)

We conduct quarterly omnibus surveys of all three panels, and clients have the opportunity to pose questions to one, or all of the panels, depending on their needs.

Results are analysed by party, region , gender and date of birth.

Councillor Panel
The ComRes Councillor Panel, operated in partnership with the Local Government Information Unit, is also quite unique. Each month we conduct online polling among a representative sample of 400 Councillors – drawn from every level of local council throughout England and Wales.

Analysis is provided by party, council type, region, length of service, committee membership, gender and age.
