Local Government Research

ComRes’s Local Government Unit can provide a robust measurement of Local Council perceptions through our Councillor Panel and our Council Officers Research. Additionally we can offer expert support in local public planning consultations.

For more information on our Local Government Unit, or the services outlined below, please contact Research Team Manager Caroline Lawes on caroline.lawes@comres.co.uk

The ComRes Local Councillors Panel

The Councillor Panel is the first regular research tool for understanding the views of Local Government Councillors in England and Wales. The Councillor Panel enables you to measure and track over time the views of Councillors from across the political spectrum and authority types. Clients are able to commission as many or as few questions per survey as they wish (subject to capacity), and we guarantee a minimum sample size of 400 Councillors per wave.

ComRes Local Planning Consultation Polls

ComRes has considerable experience in conducting polls to support (and oppose) planning and development. Planning polls can be more cost effective and representative of all local opinion than consultation exercises such as exhibitions. We can conduct robust surveys down to individual postcode level.
