Andrew Hawkins, Chief Executive

A qualified barrister, he worked for public affairs consultancies in Brussels and London before joining Harris Research where he headed the company's political research unit. Among his clients at Harris were the Conservative Party, ITN, Sunday Times and The Independent.
In 1996 Andrew was Campaigns Director for London Chamber of Commerce & Industry where, along with colleagues, he played a key role in influencing the reform of London's governance for the business community. He then headed corporate communications for BT Cellnet before becoming Chief Executive of the UK's professional body for investor relations.
As well as being CEO of ComRes, Andrew is currently Chairman of events and training firm, ComKnow. A member of the financial committee of the Corporate and Financial Group of the IPR; and a Full Member of the Market Research Society.
He was previously a member of the Shadow Defence and Foreign Affairs (House of Commons) research and advisory teams where his responsibilities included speech writing, policy analysis and policy research, and he was invited to take part in the US State Department’s International Leaders Program.
Before joining these parliamentary teams, Greig served in the British Army’s Military Intelligence Corps and has a First Class degree in Politics and History.
Simon Hawkins, Finance Director
Simon Hawkins is an award-winning chartered accountant with 25 years' international experience in finance within both the public and private sectors, from local government to industry (Shell International) and investment banking (UBS and Dresdner Kleinwort).
In addition to his work with ComRes Simon is a consultant to a leading equity research house, a partner at a major Westminster executive coaching firm and a staff writer with Universal Music Publishing in Nashville. Simon is married with three young children and splits his time between Nashville and homes on the South Coast of England and in the Charente, France.
